As teased in our previous AMAs, Nyan Heroes is building up an in-game lending and borrowing system for players. By integrating the lending and borrowing infrastructure into the game, we can reduce the resources needed for manual processing of these transactions, improving the experience for guilds and players.
Imagine a player goes on a vacation. Knowing they won’t be playing the game during this time, they can lend out their Genesis Guardian NFT to earn passive returns. What’s more, players can choose their desired lending rate and duration. Let’s say they decide on a 7-day duration, with a 50–50 reward split. Any interested borrower on the marketplace can accept that offer to use the lender’s NFT. After 7 days, the rewards will be automatically distributed and the NFT will be returned to the lender.

How do you rent without collateral?
A wrapped version of the original NFT is minted then issued to the borrower and burned after the agreed duration expires. This wrapped NFT carries all the same attributes of the original asset and is backed by that asset. The Nyan NFT owner can sleep soundly knowing that their original asset is safely tucked in the smart contract. You can also choose whether you want your in game asset to accrue XP and improve, or maintain its original state. Whether it’s the renting of featured mechs or signature collections of skins, weapons, and other items, you can count on IQ Protocol to keep your asset secure!
