Recap: Season 1 Success and Insights
Our first-ever Play-to-Airdrop season was a massive success! We distributed 2.25% of the $NYAN Supply — that’s 20 million for Season 1 + 2.5 million for our OG NFT Holders. A whopping 18,757,540.38 $NYAN tokens were claimed. Meanwhile, the 3,742,459.62 unclaimed $NYAN tokens are being redirected back into the Community pool. If you missed out, don’t worry! These unclaimed tokens will fund future events, rewards, and community-driven initiatives, ensuring that all our heroes have a chance to benefit from the growth of Nyan Heroes.
The overwhelming participation and nearly 10 billion MEOW points generated highlight a substantial participation rate and showcases the enthusiasm and engagement within Web3 gaming!
Season 2 Rewards Claim
Season 2: Hunt for Catnip concluded on June 1st. Get ready to claim your rewards starting from June 19th at 16:00 UTC through July 3rd. We have allocated a total of 5 million $NYAN tokens (0.5% of the total supply) for this season, with a conversion rate of 351 Catnips per $NYAN.
We designed Season 2 to reward the community and bring out the competitive spirit with our new ranked mode, letting players showcase their skills.
We’ve fine-tuned the rewards to ensure a fairer distribution of tokens based on your achievements and contributions within Season 2. Our MMR system during Pre-Alpha provided a first look at what competitive play in Nyan Heroes could be. Although the majority played by the rules, we observed some attempts to exploit the new system by creating multiple accounts and achieving high ranks by only playing a handful of games.
To address this, we implemented additional Catnip multipliers that reward players the more games they play, while minimizing the impact of these ‘smurf’ accounts on the final distribution of Season 2 $NYAN tokens. In doing so, we have reduced the total Catnip by 35%, which means that these rewards have been redistributed to more active and engaged players, resulting in a better catnip to $NYAN conversation ratio. This improved structure better aligns with our design of Season 2 and gives more to those playing Nyan Heroes the way it was intended.
$NYAN Token Launch
We are thrilled that the $NYAN token has officially launched and is now circulating in the market! The token went live on ByBit, Bitget, Gate.io, HTX, Cube and Backpack Exchange. This marks a significant milestone for the Nyan Heroes community and our vision to bring mass adoption to web3 gaming on Solana.
With the $NYAN token, players can engage more deeply with the ecosystem, trade on secondary markets, and eventually participate in governance decisions that will shape the future of Nyan Heroes.
